As I was praying this morning, renewing my mind because the last thing I want to do is sit another day in the dang chair with an IV in my chest I just prayed for God to show me hope beyond what it is I see in the natural. Show me to see the future with rays of light even when my mind is saying theres no light at the end of the tunnel. So I wrote, God spoke to my spirit.... I share a bit of a journey here and there in hopes that God's strength is shown in our weakness. I never would have guessed 10 years ago that life would be where it is, perfectly imperfect in every way. Maybe you are there too asking God why is xyz happening? Why do some people get healed while some suffer for years causing them to run from God, lose their faith, and give up on the dreams birthed in their heart years ago? No one wants to be in physical, emotional, or spiritual pain. No one. No matter how much they may say it, in the end we all want to be happy. Truth is happiness doesn't come from our circumstances. I have learned to be happy with little and much...
Phil 4:12 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. 13I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.…
What do you do when God doesn't fix our problems, our prayers don't get answered? Sometimes we begin to feel like God doesn't love us like He does others. There are those that believe if you have enough faith you would be healed....I believe that faith is a healing even if it doesn't make our circumstances change. If we didn't have suffering, heartbreak, things out of our control their would be no use for faith. Faith is life taken by the hand, good, bad, and the ugly and handed off to God. Its in those moments of pure surrender that we will begin to feel that peace that only God gives,
Phil 4:7 Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live"that peace that makes no sense. That peace that says to others, I want that, because if they can go through xyz and STILL have hope then I need what they have. God graces us with HIS presence in good and bad.If we didn't have those trials then how would we inspire others to grab hold of God with both arms and never let go? I don't believe that lie of guilt or shame that says if you only believed more...if you only did more good...if you only....whatever it is the enemy is whispering, then your breakthrough would happen. But when you have done all you can do and you look up to God to do the things we humanly cant change we expect it to happen. We expect that God will heal, provide, and give us His promises. We do not have control over most of the cards of our life, we have control over the actions WE do in our life though.
If you look to your left or to your right you will get distracted from the goodness in front of you. When you start to doubt the goodness look UP and you will see its still there. Sometimes harder to see hiding behind clouds, and other times overwhelming hiding behind the storm thats flooding the ground around you. I have found in those moments when life seems like sinking sand we must remind ourselves beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We must draw on the courage of God It is then we fully know He is our strength and shield, He is carrying us. If you remember your past remind yourself what God has helped you through in the past.
Psalms 30:1-12 reminds us He will rescue us from the pit.
Dont let the valley and the pit define who you are. Circumstances happen but our ability to make it through the valley over the mountain is determined by our ability to hold onto faith, hold onto hope, and renew your mind. Zechariah 9:12 says "Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope, even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you."
