Be anxious for nothing

Yesterday we had our provision of the house offering at church. Its a yearly miracle offering where we sow knowing what we sow into building Gods house. Every year we have seen return from this in some way, sometimes more than 10X amount we have given. As we prayed for this years amount I felt God give us this amount that was way out of our "budget". But I know that the reward for obediance is far greater than the reward of holding money in our hand. When you bless others, bless the church, you bless the generations to come. Not only our church but those in the community that our church partners with, such as this year the church is promising to sow a large amount into the city for their new homeless shelter. This is very much overdue for this area.

As the challenges surround us daily and make it hard to breathe some days, we look to heaven and know that He has been with us all along and Hes here now. This year we sacrificed the most out of all the years knowing that the best is yet to come and in all we do and all we go through we praise Jesus because we are alive! Its another beautiful Monday to be alive! Even though negative news comes to destroy our hope and faith we cling to that verse which says it all so simply...
Phil 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

 God already knows our needs and our hearts desires but when you take time to pray and believe and fast for those things to come to pass there's a transformation in your thinking that changes your perspective in what ever may be clouding your mind. Our strength comes from knowing that in all circumstances we can be happy and find peace because our circumstances do not determine our happiness. What is on your heart today, this week that you are believing for? Really press into this verse and ask God to reveal what it means to you. To each of us there's our own revelation of how it pertains to each of our situations. I am so thankful for those that pray for me and our family. Forgiving

One of the most complex situations I have been navigating, especially the past few years, is forgiveness. Forgiveness is not an immediate response in most, as truly deep offenses are a process to forgive.  Forgiveness is an action that is so powerful it has the ability to break down fortress walls that people have built up to protect themselves, it's a force so strong it also influences everyone in  the world around us. Forgiving someone is difficult, and sometimes it feels downright impossible. The impossible feeling comes when we don't get that apology. We don't get the acknowledgement that someone has detrimentally affected our life. I've had some of the most atrocious things happen to me by other people. Most never apologized. I cant believe it is 2017!  2017 is my year for hope, healing, and Soaring!  Every year I pray and seek God for a word and verse for the next year. Every year it's amazing to see how the context of those verses become such a deeper revelation to my soul. There are many things on my heart right now that I am believing for, but when I was praying this verse really made me light up. God is the only one who can renew my strength and I will hold onto HOPE , HEALING, and SOAR with the eagles in 2017!   Isaiah 40:31  (NIV)  but those who HOPE  in the  Lord   will renew their strength.
